KIEV, Feb. 19 – Deputy Parliament Speaker Mykola Tomenko has asked Foreign Minister Volodymyr Ohryzko to consider the possibility of restarting a visa regime for European Union citizens in accordance with the provisions of the Ukraine-EU visa facilitation agreement, Tomenko's press service reported on Thursday.
The said agreement caused no real simplification of the visa regime for the EU, while the prospects for the introduction of visa-free entrance to the EU for Ukrainians remain unclear, Tomenko said. Only a narrow circle of people felt some positive changes, but for the vast majority of Ukrainians Europe still remains distant, the vice speaker added.
