KIEV, Feb. 11 - All programs at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant will be 100% financed, according to Emergencies Minister Volodymyr Shandra.
"I'd like to assure you that all the matters concerned with the Chernobyl power plant and the exclusion zone are under control, there are no emissions and no threat to the environment… regular work is going on as to the provision of radiation safety at the plant, and all dangerous objects are financed in full," Shandra said at a press conference on Wednesday.
According to the minister, it is clear that the safety is a priority; moreover, among other priorities are the 100% payment of wages to all plant employees at a level not less than in December 2008, the settlement of all utility bills, and the execution of all of the required work at the plant.
