KIEV, Jan. 30 – The foreign debt of private borrowers in Ukraine in October to December 2008 fell by a preliminary $1.5 billion, or 1.6%, to $89.7 billion, the National Bank of Ukraine reported.
"A fall in foreign payments with high payments on the raised funds promoted an improvement of the state of private foreign debt. In October-December 2008, the private foreign debt (not taking into account changes in liabilities on sales credits) fell by $1.5 billion or 1.6%, to $89.7 billion," reads the report.
