KIEV, Jan. 29 – The situation on the Ukrainian monetary and currency markets and in the banking sector remains under control, Anatoliy Shapovalov, acting governor of the National Bank of Ukraine, told the press on Wednesday.

"Despite the difficult situation, the situation remains under control both on the monetary and currency markets and in the banking sector," he said.
