KIEV, Jan. 23 - Oleh Dubyna, the head of Naftogaz Ukrayiny, Ukraine’s state gas company, was hospitalized in a serious condition after a suffering heart problem, Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko announced Friday.

Dubyna was the key negotiator of the Russian-Ukrainian agreement that had unlocked supplies of natural gas from Russia to the European Union earlier this week.
