CHERNIHIV, Jan. 20 – Ukraine will resume electricity supplies to Belarus, President Viktor Yushchenko said.

"We agreed that Ukraine would resume electricity supplies to Belarus," he said at a joint press conference with his Belarusian counterpart Alexander Lukashenko in Chernihiv on Tuesday, following Ukrainian-Belarusan talks.

According to earlier reports, an intergovernmental memorandum on cooperation in the energy sector was signed after the talks.
