KIEV, Jan. 15 – Russia’s Vnesheconombank has become the owner of a 75% stake in Kiev-based Prominvestbank, the latter reported.
"The State Commission for Securities and the Stock Market of Ukraine on Jan. 15, 2009, issued a certificate confirming that the issue of Prominvestbank's stocks worth UAH1,300,175,000 was incorporated into the general securities issues register. The date of the registration is Dec. 30, 2008. Following the purchase of the stocks of the additional issue, Vnesheconombank received control over a 75% stockholding in Prominvestbank," said the company.
