KIEV, Jan. 8 – Ukrainian chemical enterprises cut gas consumption by 50% for two days to balance the work of their country’s gas transmission system, Volodymyr Trikolich, the deputy chairman of Naftogaz Ukrayiny, said at a briefing on Thursday.

He said that on Jan. 7, Naftogaz Ukrayiny asked chemical plants and a number of other industrial enterprises to cut gas consumption by 50% for one to two days.
