KIEV, Dec. 11 - Ukrainian steel production could plummet 45.4% year-on-year in January to 1.99 million tons, the Dnipropetrovsk-based Metalurhprom association told Interfax.

The association said it expected the Dzerzhinsky mill to smelt 363,000 tons, the Illich works - 301,000 tons, Arcelor Mittal Kryviy Rih - 281,000 tons, Azovstal - 218,000 tons, Yenakiyeve - 194,000 tons and Zaporizhstal - 181,000 tons.
