KIEV, Dec. 11 – Average daily cast iron production in Ukraine grew from 42,600 tons in November to 50,900 tons over the first eight days of December, a 20% rise, Economy Minister Bohdan Danylyshyn said at a meeting with representatives of business and scientific circles of Ukraine.

Average daily steel production grew from 53,200 tons to 62,800 tons, or by 18%, and rolled steel production from 50,400 tons to 64,900 tons, or by 29%, the ministry's press service said.
