KIEV, Dec. 8 – The National Bank of Ukraine has temporarily banned the purchase of currency to pay for imports to Ukraine in advance.

The decision is stipulated in NBU resolution No. 413 of Dec. 4, which came into effect from the moment of its signing.

"The NBU said that the purchase and exchange of the foreign currency to pay for imports of products and service in advance is temporarily banned," reads the document, which was also sent to Interfax-Ukraine.
