KIEV, Dec. 5 – The Association of Ukrainian Banks has called on the National Bank of Ukraine to relax requirements for the adjustment of a bank's regulatory capital by the sum of the difference between the terms of assets and liabilities.
"Toughening the NBU's requirements on the banks concerning eliminating the misbalance between assets and liabilities for a period of over a year (a long-term gap), does not take into consideration the phenomena of crisis seen on the international capital markets and the Ukrainian financial markets," reads the report.
