KIEV, Dec. 4 – President Viktor Yushchenko is critical of the latest decisions made by the Ukrainian government on the pharmaceutical sector and is forced to suspend related cabinet resolutions, the presidential press service reported.
In a letter addressing Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko, President Yushchenko said the situation on the Ukrainian pharmaceutical market today "is of great concern." Therefore he is forced to suspend cabinet resolutions dated Sept. 10 on the liquidation of the state service for medicines and medical supplies and on state controls on the quality of medicines, as well as a cabinet resolution dated Oct. 17 on measures to stabilize prices of medicines and medical supplies.
