KIEV, Dec. 3 – The fall in the profitability of mining and metals companies and the worsening of the situation at companies belonging to Naftogaz Ukrainy led to a failure in the fulfillment of the tax collection target in November, the State Tax Administration of Ukraine (STAU)reported.

"The global financial crisis, which led to a fall in production of mining and metals companies and a fall in their profitability, the worsening of the financial state of Naftogaz Ukrainy's companies and non-payments by them, impacted the fulfillment of the target," Myroslav Laba STAU director of economic analysis, said Tuesday.
