ELEKTROSTAL, Nov. 17 - The Russian atomic corporation TVEL is ready to cooperate with Ukraine in the establishment of an alternative supplier of fuel to nuclear power plants running Russian made water-cooled water-moderated VVER units, TVEL head Yuri Olenin told the media.

"The ball is in the Ukrainian court," he said.

It would be expedient to establish an alternative supplier when the number of reactors of the Russian make reaches 90 inside and outside of Russia (their current number nears 70), Olenin said.
