KIEV, Nov. 12 - The authorities have managed to stop the country's currency reserves from declining further, said President Viktor Yushchenko.
"We are more stable than ever today. The currency reserves are no longer falling," Yushchenko said during events marking Agricultural Worker Day in Kiev on Wednesday.
Ukraine has a sufficient amount of resources to service external payments of its corporations, banks and the government, the president said. The country also owns enough currency reserves to make deposit payments to the population, he said.
