KIEV, Nov. 6 – President Viktor Yushchenko is planning to ask foreign banks to support the liquidity of their subsidiaries in Ukraine.
"The president is planning to ask foreign banks to support the liquidity and credit portfolios of their subsidiaries in Ukraine," Presidential Secretariat Deputy Head Andriy Honcharuk said at a briefing in Kiev on Thursday.
He also said that the president would continue holding talks with bankers and bank industry workers next week. Moreover, a number of meetings will be soon organized with foreign businessmen in Ukraine regarding their further participation on the Ukrainian market, he said.
