KIEV, Nov. 6 – Ukraine's Emergencies Ministry has completed stabilization work at the Shelter facility of the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant.
An Interfax-Ukraine correspondent reported that an acceptance protocol as a part of the Stabilization of the Building Structure of the Shelter facility project will be signed on Thursday in Chernobyl, and Emergencies Minister Volodymyr Shandra would be present at the signing of the document.
"The completion of stabilization measures at the Shelter [facility] is a very important part of the plan to make the facility an ecologically safe system," Shandra said.
