KIEV, Nov. 5 - Arcelor Mittal Kriviy Rih (formerly Kryvorizhstal), Ukraine's biggest steel producer, reduced roll production by a preliminary 18.8% year-on-year to 4.812 million tons in January-October, the company told Interfax.

Crude steel production fell 15.3% to 4.812 million tons, pig iron - 13.9% to 5.193 million tons and sinter - 13% to 8.721 million tons.

The plant produced 146,000 tons of roll in October - less than half the September total, which was 301,000 tons. It also produced 281,000 tons of steel, 258,000 tons of pig iron and 464,000 tons of sinter in October.
