Ukraine’s ferroalloy industry to shut down Nov. 1 due to weak demand

KIEV, Oct. 31 - Ukraine’s ferroalloy industry, one of the world’s largest, will completely suspend operation Nov. 1 due to weak demand domestically and overseas, UkrFA, an association of Ukrainian ferroalloy producers, reported Friday.

All four Ukrainian ferroalloy producers, including Nikopol Ferroalloy Plant (NFP), Zaporizhia Ferroalloy Plant (ZFP), Stakhanov Ferroalloy Plant (SFP) and Pobuzhskiy Ferronickel Plant (PFP), announced plans to shut down, the report said.
