KIEV, Oct. 30 – Volodymyr Stelmakh, the governor of the National Bank of Ukraine, has come under fire from Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko on Thursday for allowing the hryvnia to lose value rapidly over the past four weeks.
Andriy Kozhemiakin, one of Tymoshenko’s most trusted lieutenants, said the group was ready to support a motion to replace Stelmakh from the post, for the hryvnia’s rapid decline that he had called “provocation.”
