Parliament speaker refutes ‘fantastic allegations’ about IMF help
Journal Staff Report

KIEV, Oct. 29 - The International Monetary Fund will grant Ukraine a loan at a yearly interest of 4% for 15 years, deputy parliamentary speaker Mykola Tomenko said on Channel Five television on Tuesday evening.

"There have been various fantastic allegations that we are taking out a loan for a year at 100% interest. If the Verkhovna Rada votes for this bill, we will take out this loan at 4% for 15 years," Tomenko said.

This will happen, however, only after Parliament endorses a package of anti-crisis measures, he said.
