KIEV, Oct. 28 –The adoption of an anti-crisis law is needed to receive the more than $16 billion allocated by the International Monetary Fund to Ukraine, although the bill is not enough to overcome consequences of the world's financial crisis for the country, according to Serhiy Tihipko, chairman of Swedbank and co-chairman of the Ukrainian government’s Council of Investors.
He said after a roundtable with the participation of IMF representatives and leading Ukrainian banks that unfortunately the National Bank of Ukraine cannot settle such a global problem and it is necessary that the president, cabinet and Parliament work in a cohesive way.
