KIEV, Oct. 20 – The tougher sanctions foreseen in new agreements on gas supplies are needed to improve the discipline of gas consumption and payment for it, Naftogaz Ukrayiny told Interfax-Ukraine.

"It's true that tougher sanctions for unlimited consumption of gas were introduced in order to improve the discipline of gas consumption and payment for it, and the most important thing – to increase the level of heat supply companies' management efficiency. The new agreements don't considerably differ from those that were signed by most heat supply companies last year," the company said.
