KIEV, Oct. 15 – President Viktor Yushchenko insisted on Wednesday that early parliamentary elections will take place as scheduled on Dec. 7, while Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko said the election was “impossible.”
Tymoshenko, who polls indicate would most likely lose her post after the election, launched a fierce legal battle with Yushchenko seeking to stop decree declaring for the snap vote. She also refused to finance the election.
