Nalyvaikivka, KIEV region, Oct. 13 – Ukraine plans to suspend electricity exports to Poland, Fuel and Energy Minister Yuriy Prodan said.
"We plan to stop supplies to Poland from November or even earlier," he told the press during a visit to the construction site of the Kievska 750 kV substation in the settlement of Nalyvaikivka in Kiev region.
The stoppage of supplies is mainly linked with the fact that Poland has not agreed to a rise in the price of Ukrainian electricity, he said. Prodan said that Ukrinterenergo state company from April supplies Ukrainian electricity to Poland at lower prices than the present prices on the domestic market.
