KIEV, Oct. 6 - RPG Industries has bought 20.79% of Ferrexpo plc, whose main asset is iron ore producer Poltava Mining, from the company's core owner, Kostiantyn Zhevaho, Ferrexpo said in a statement for the London Stock Exchange.
Zhevaho's stake in Ferrexpo has now been reduced to 51%.
RPGI, which owns approximately 63.8% of New World Resources N.V. (NWR), offered to transfer the newly acquired shares in Ferrexpo to NWR at cost. NWR is the core owner of OKD, the Czech Republic's biggest coal company. PKD sold 13.1 million tons of coal - 6.8 million tons of it coking coal - in 2007.
