KIEV, Oct. 1 – Parliament has given first-reading approval to a state program on decommissioning Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant and making the Shelter facility an environment-friendly system.

A total of 354 out of 441 MPs registered in the hall supported the program.

Total financing is UAH5.023 billion, including UAH700 million from the national budget and UAH318.1 million in technical aid.
