LVIV, Sept. 11 – Kazakhstan is holding negotiations on the construction of a gas-fired power plant in the west of Ukraine, Kazakh Ambassador to Ukraine Amangeldy Zhumabaev said ahead of the Ukrainian-Kazakh business forum, which is to open in Lviv on Sept. 12.

"We are discussing it now, negotiations are underway about the construction near Uzhgorod of a power plant that will operate on the natural gas from Kazakhstan," he said.
