BAKU, Sept. 4 - The recent events in Georgia did not affect GUAM (a regional organization of Georgia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan and Moldova), Ukrainian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Borys Klimchuk told a Thursday press conference in Baku.

"GUAM is alive; it works and has good prospects. There have been plenty of speculations around this organization due to the Georgian events. I'd like to emphasize that GUAM is not targeted against anyone. We formed the organization in order to promote reciprocal interests in energy, transport and many other spheres," he said.
