KIEV, Sept. 1 – The Ukrainian insurance sector has serious problems with paying taxes, director of the department for control of financial institutions and transactions in the foreign economic activities sphere of the State Tax Administration of Ukraine (STAU), Tetyana Sysoseva, has told the Dzerkalo Tyzhnia weekly newspaper.

"The minimization [of taxes] can be seen in the banking sector, but they are not large-scale and of a non-systematic character. [However,] the problems in the insurance sector are serious," the expert said.
