KIEV, Aug 26 – Former Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovych, the leader of the opposition Regions Party, said Tuesday that Ukraine should have followed Russia in recognizing two Georgia’s enclaves as independent states.

Russia’s decision to recognize the enclaves of South Ossetia and Abkhazia has put the world on the brink of the new cold war, with major international powers condemning the move.
