KIEV, Aug. 18 – Bogdan Corporation, one of the leading car market players in Ukraine, intends to assemble about 10,000 completely knocked-down (CKD) VAZ cars at its factory in Cherkasy by the end of 2008, Bogdan Corporation press secretary Serhiy Krasulia has told Interfax-Ukraine.

“Today the plant assembled the 1,000th CKD car body from the moment we launched CKD production,” he said.

He added that production processes at the plant are being optimized, and that the company was planning to make seven to eight VAZ car bodies an hour by the end of 2008.
