KIEV, Aug. 14 – High realty prices on the primary market and the absence of demand could provoke a crisis in the construction industry, First Deputy Prime Minister Oleksandr Turchynov said.
"The [high price and low demand for housing] is a part of a dangerous economic crisis," he said at a meeting with representatives of construction sector in Kiev on Thursday.
Turchynov said the situation stems from price policies on the construction market. In particular, the growth of house prices and the high profitability of this industry have triggered growth in the prices of construction materials.
