KIEV, Aug. 15 –The average rental rate in shopping centers in Kiev may rise by 10-15% in 2009, the Ukrainian Trade Guild (UTG, Kiev) has said.

The average rental rate in operating shopping centers in Kiev grew by 6% over January-June 2008 compared to the end of 2007, up to $145-150 per square meter a month.

Currently the maximum rate for single offers in Kiev may reach $350 per square meter a month. This is significantly higher than in such Eastern Europe capitals as Budapest, Warsaw or Prague.
