KIEV, Aug. 11 – Ukraine by Aug. 11 had harvested 38.8 million tons of early grain and leguminous crops, which was 73% up on the same date last year, from 11.2 million hectares or 90% of the area under cultivation.

The average crop yield of early grain and leguminous crops is 34.6 centners per hectare, whereas by the same date last year was 20.6 centners per hectare, a source in the Agriculture Ministry's press service told Interfax-Ukraine, citing updated information from the regions.
