KIEV, Aug. 1 - Ukraine's steel industry raised finished roll output 4% to 21.741 million tons in January-July 2008 compared to the same period of 2007, the Industrial Policy Ministry told Interfax.

Ukraine produced 25.931 million tons of crude steel in the period, up 4%, and 21.573 million tons of pig iron, also up 4%, the ministry said.

Steel pipe production plummeted 7% to 1.499 million tons.
