KIEV, July 30 –President Viktor Yushchenko has sent a letter to Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko expressing his alarm over the situation in domestic cattle breeding.

"According to information from specialists and experts, the development of negative trends in domestic cattle breeding could lead to a fall in the domestic production and consumption of good-quality meat, as well as a fall in purchase prices for agricultural products and the production potential of the sector," the president said.
