KIEV, July 17 – The growth of Ukraine's real gross domestic product slowed to 5.4% in June year-over-year, down from 7.2% in May and 6.7% in April 6.7%.
As the State Statistics Committee reported, this reined in GDP growth over the first six months of 2008 to 6.3%, while in the first five months GDP grew by 6.4%.
Ukraine's nominal GDP January through June amounted to UAH 429.456 billion, including UAH 81.373 billion in June, according to rough estimates. The deflator index was 133.5%.
