KIEV, July 11 – The European Union and Ukraine will sign a new enhanced agreement on partnership and cooperation at the beginning of 2009.

French President Nicolas Sarkozy, the leader of the country currently presiding in the European Union, said this in a letter on occasion of the 5th annual summit of the Yalta European Strategy (YES) dated July 11 2008, the press service of the summit reported.
