KIEV, July 2 – EastOne International Investment and Consulting Group has signed a deal on the acquisition of a controlling stake in the Ekonomika publishing house from Handelsblatt publishing house and Czech publisher Miroslav Pavel, the details of which are not disclosed according to an agreement of confidentiality.

"This is a successful deal, allowing the expansion of the presence of our investors on the media market, one of the most quickly growing and promising markets in Ukraine, and this is a priority direction to realize their business strategy," reads a release of EastOne issued on Tuesday, citing EastOne director general and president, Hennadiy Hazyn.
