KIEV, June 27 – The share of foreign capital in Ukrainian bank statutory capital in May shrank to 35.5%, from 36.3% in April.
As the National Bank of Ukraine reported, the banks' aggregate registered statutory capital in May 2008 grew by 2.3%, or by UAH1.144 billion, to UAH51.483 billion. Since the beginning of the year, their capital has increased by 20.1%, or UAH8.61 billion.
At the beginning of 2008, the share of foreign capital in the banks' aggregate statutory capital was 35%.
