KIEV, June 23 – President Viktor Yushchenko participated in the opening of the Bogdan Corporation car plant in Cherkasy.

"For the first time in the 50 years since ZAZ was put into operation, we are present at the opening of a national car manufacturing plant. This is not an everyday event," Yuschenko said.

He said the plant's production capacity would be 120,000-150,000 cars a year. The enterprise will create 4,000 jobs, and the salary at the enterprise will exceed the average one in Cherkasy, the president said.
