KIEV, May 29 – Ukrainian banks have either suspended granting mortgage credits or significantly increased interest rates on housing purchase credits, according to Prostobank Consulting company.
The average (effective) rate on mortgage credits for 20 years as of May 20 compared to April 1, 2008, grew by 2 percentage points in the hryvnia, to 18.5% per annum, by 0.25 percentage points in US dollars, to 13.5% per annum, and by 0.5 percentage points in euros, to 13% per annum.
