KIEV, May 28 – The deficit of Ukraine's balance of foreign trade in exceeded $5 billion in Q1, and at the end of the year the deficit could reach $19-20 billion, according to a statement of the parliamentary committee for finance and banking activities issued headed by opposition leader, MP Mykola Azarov.
"A more than threatening trend is being formed for the state's balance of payments... The deficit could grow due to the policy of artificially strengthening the hryvnia, which leads to restrictions on exports and simultaneously encouraging imports of goods to Ukraine," reads the report.
