KIEV, May 28 – President Viktor Yushchenko has met with Manitoba Premier Gary Doer in Winnipeg and discussed interregional and trade and economic cooperation, cooperation in the agricultural sector, and Ukrainian-Canadian relations in the cultural sphere.

The president praised the stable partnership relations between Ukraine and Manitoba Province – in particular, between the twin cities of Lviv and Winnipeg. He also noted the signing of a memo on mutual understanding between Dnipropetrovsk regional state administration and Manitoba Province, which is aimed at the expansion of trade and economic, scientific and technical, cultural and educational and humanitarian cooperation.
