WARSAW, May 28 - The European Union will offer Ukraine an "ambitious partnership" in September during France's six-month tenure as E.U. president, AFP reported Wednesday, citing French President Nicolas Sarkozy.

"The French presidency will organize an E.U.-Ukraine summit in Paris in September where we will propose an ambitious partnership for our Ukrainian friends," Sarkozy said at a joint press conference with Poland's President Lech Kaczynski in Warsaw.
