KIEV, May 12 - Ukrainian companies have practically halted shipments of sunflower oil for export, despite receiving designated export quotes, the general director of the Ukroliaprom association, Stepan Kapshuk, said at a press conference at Interfax-Ukraine on Monday.
As of May 8, the Economic Ministry had issued 113 licenses for the export of 193,000 tons of oil out of a total export quota of 300,000 tons, which will be valid until July 1, 2008. This quota was entirely allocated as of April 16.
