KIEV, April 25 – The National Bank of Ukraine does not plan to restrict mortgage and retail crediting, according to Oleksandr Kireyev, director of the banking regulation and surveillance directorate at the NBU.
"In Italy mortgage credits are issued over 25 years, and in Hungary,30 years, so why should we have worse conditions for our citizens? All that was needed to be done, we've done," Kireyev told Interfax-Ukraine.
