KIEV, April 17 – Poltava Gas & Oil Company's pretax profit for 2007, according to national tax accounting standards, was UAH709.575 million, which was 44.8%, or UAH219.546 million, up on the same period of 2006, the company said.

Last year, the company boosted revenues from oil sales by 32% over 2006, to UAH 737.7 million, and from gas sales by 58% to UAH359.6 million. The company's gross revenues from sales grew by 40%, or UAH314.3 million, to UAH1.1 billion.
